Program Overview

The Cosmetology Crossover Program at 1st Academy of Beauty equips students with the essential skills needed to provide beauty services, including haircuts, coloring, styling, makeup application, and skin care treatments. Cosmetologists also perform scalp massages, apply wigs, and remove unwanted hair, creating a complete range of beauty services for diverse clientele.

The program combines classroom learning with hands-on practical experience, ensuring that students are well-prepared for a successful career in the beauty industry.

What You’ll Learn

  • Haircutting & Styling: Techniques for cutting, coloring, and styling hair for both male and female clients.
  • Hair Treatments: Learn to apply chemical treatments, perms, and relaxers. Makeup Application: Gain skills in makeup techniques for various occasions.
  • Skin & Scalp Care: Provide scalp massages, facial treatments, and skincare services. Nail Services: Perform basic nail care, manicures, and pedicures.
  • Client Communication: Develop the ability to understand and meet client preferences to ensure satisfaction.

Certificate Program: These programs are below college level and focus on practical training.

Course Breakdown:

  • Classroom Instruction: 100 hours
  • Practical Training: 100 hours
  • Full-Time Schedule: 10 to 15 weeks to complete the program.
  • Flexible Learning: Up to 50 hours (25%) of the program.
